Fall 2017

Via our Santa Clara County wide AED program, new AEDs were deployed into the Cupertino and Alum Rock School Districts along with Homefirst Homeless Shelters and the Los Gatos - Monte Sereno Police Cars!

Spring 2017

Together with 1700 participants and volunteers we raised over $64,000 for genetic testing, echocardiograms, AEDs, and heart research for our 4th Annual Racing Hearts 5k/10k. We are thrilled to announce that over 80% of all Santa Clara County public school districts now have AEDs at their sites. Woohoo! 

Winter 2017

Via our partnerships with The Health Trust, El Camino Hospital and the Santa Clara County (SCC) Board of Supervisors Racing Hearts deployed 50 AEDs this quarter!  Sites included the Oak Grove, Moreland, Everygreen School Districts along with the Palo Alto Little League and Santa Clara Players sites.

Fall 2016

In partnership with the Santa Clara County (SCC) Board of Supervisors Racing Hearts is placing $1M worth of AEDs in high risk community locations. In our first 7 months of 2016 we have already allocated 75% of the funds which protects over 954,900 community members. With 301 AEDs installed in 215 locations in our community, the matching grant program has received tremendous support.

Via grants from El Camino Hospital, Health Trust, and the corresponding school districts, Racing Hearts has installed AEDs in the following districts along within the Santa Clara Unified SD.

Summer 2016

Racing Hearts deployed AEDs throughout the Cambrian School District as well as the following locations: MayView Health Centers, Avenidas, Opportunity Center (LifeMoves), and Midpennisula Regional Open Space.

Spring 2016

This past spring, we placed an AED within the Rich May Memorial Field in East Palo Alto (named after Officer Rich May, killed on duty Jan. 7, 2006) and 34 AEDs throughout the Morgan Hill Union School District and MH Police Department cars!

We also produced our third annual Racing Hearts 5k/10k race on Stanford University with 1000 runners/walkers benefiting Heart Research and community AED programs. Together we raised over $60,000 in support of actively living for heart disease!

Winter 2016

Racing Hearts in partnership with the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors along with Health Trust, Silicon Valley Leadership Foundation and Sports Basement are placing 41 AEDs throughout all school sites at East Side Union High School District.

Fall 2015

SB658 Passes, Thank you Governor Jerry Brown! CA Senate Bill 658 pioneered by Racing Hearts and El Camino Hospital along with Santa Clara County EMS/Fire and Board of Supervisors makes AEDs easier than ever to own and maintain! Huge thank you to our co-sponsors CA State Senator Jerry Hill and CA Assemblyman Rich Gordon. We are thrilled to have received support from Stanford Health Care, the Silicon Valley Leadership Foundation, Red Cross and the American Heart Association!

In partnership with the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, El Camino Hospital, along with the school districts in Campbell and Los Gatos, 34 AEDs were placed in all school sites, in police cars and high risk community locations!

In addition, Berkeley Middle Schools along with Jefferson Elementary School in Berkeley, CA received 10 AEDs. Funding was provided in partnership with Sports Basement.

Spring 2015

Racing Hearts produced our second annual Racing Hearts 5K/10k race on Stanford University with 600 runners/walkers benefiting Heart Research and community AED programs. Together we raised over $20,000 in support of actively living for heart disease!

Winter 2014

Racing Hearts 'Spot The Box' Campaign with Stanford School of Medicine Primary Care Associate Program (PCAP) with Foothill College. Our program worked with over 90 students to spot 50+ community AEDs.

Fall 2014

In partnership between the Santa Clara County, El Camino Hospital, the City of Mountain View, Whisman School District and the Los Altos Mountain View HS District, 49 AEDs were placed throughout the city, police cars and all the schools!

Spring 2014

Racing Hearts assisted the Palo Alto Unified School District to place 38 onsite AEDs throughout all school sites! We produced our first Racing Hearts 5K/10K Race on Stanford Campus with 300 runners/walkers benefiting Heart Research and the Stanford Center for Inherited Cardiovascular Disease.

Winter 2014

Via a grant from the Peery Foundation, Racing Hearts worked with Aspire Public Schools to fund AEDs in their Oakland and East Palo Alto schools! During our 30 day 'Spot The Box' campaign targeting Palo Alto and Stanford Communities, we had more than 500 active app users spot 300+ community AEDs.

Fall 2013

In partnership between the City of Palo Alto and Racing Hearts, 52 AEDs were placed throughout the city at many high risk locations throughout the community! Racing Hearts also funded two AEDs to be placed in Santa Cruz police cars.

Spring 2013

Racing Hearts collaborated with the Palo Alto Parks and Recreational Department to place AEDs for after school 6th-8th grade athletics. In addition, Racing Hearts along with the City of San Jose, placed an AED at Watson Park!
